Arrangements for Yemen-donor consultative meeting discussed

SANA'A, Feb. 03 (Saba) - Yemen and World Bank (WB) and sponsors of Riyadh donors' meeting discussed here on Sunday arrangements for holding the Yemen-donor consultative meeting scheduled for February 13.
This came in a meeting gathered Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammed al-Sa'adi, director of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) office in Sana'a Saad al-Arifi, WB country manager to Yemen Wael Zakout and Saudi deputy ambassador to Yemen Bandar al-Etaibi.
The officials reviewed the details of the arrangements for the consultative meeting that will be dedicated to evaluate the fulfillment of the commitments the Yemeni government and donors have made at the donors' meeting as well as the progress of the allocation process of donors' pledges to Yemen.
Al-Sa'adi accented the importance of the donors to fulfill their commitments and hold consultative meetings every three and six months to assess implementation.
The meetings aimed to identify the obstacles that hinder allotting donors' funds and the solutions, he added.
Al-Arifi, the GCC office's head in Sana'a, affirmed the office's keenness to help tackle all difficulties and accelerate the funds allocation donors have announced in Riyadh meeting.
He reiterated the GCC states' commitment to offer assistance required to assist the Yemeni government to achieve the coming stage requirements.
