RIYADH, Nov. 07 (Saba)- The joint Yemeni-Saudi military committee approved on Wednesday the strengthening of aspects of mutual military and security cooperation between the two countries.
The committee focused on cooperation in the fields of security, counterterrorism and maritime piracy as well as the exchange of experiences and visits in order to build joint projects and hold military exercises between the armies of the two countries.
During its two-day meeting in the Saudi capital Riyadh, the joint Yemeni-Saudi military committee also discussed a range of military issues of common interest between the two countries.
The Yemeni side was headed by Chief of General Staff, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Ali al-Ashwal, and the Saudi side was headed by Chief of General Staff of Saudi Army Lieutenant General Hussein bin Abdullah al-Qabeel.
