Yemen: Trade volume with France increased by 44.1 % in 2010

SANA'A, May 12 (Saba) - The value of trade exchange between Yemen and France reached YR 56.2 in 2010 billion, compared with YR 39.1 billion in 2009 with a growth rate of 44.1 percent, according to recent statistical data.

The data issued by the Central Organization of Statistics (COS) showed that Yemen's imports from France have contained foodstuffs, frozen meat,electronic equipment, spare parts, furniture, fabrics and others reached YR 54.1 billion in 2010, compared with YR 35.5 billion in 2009.

The data also showed that Yemen's exports to France, including natural honey, coffee, fish and some marine and agricultural products reached YR 2.6 billion in 2010, registering a decline by YR 1.3 billion in 2009.

The data indicated that trade balance between the two countries increased to YR 52.7 billion for the benefit of France,compared with YR 32.1 billion in the same period.
