SHABWAH, May 08 (Saba)- Yemen LNG Company signed on Sunday in Balhaf in Shabwah province two agreements to fund the implementation of projects in areas of agricultural and water drinking at a cost of YR 800 million.
YLNG's General Manager Francois RAFIN and Head of Mission of Triangle Generation Humanitaire (TGH), Serge Di Palma, signed an agreement relating to the rehabilitation of irrigation systems, livestock development and improvement of veterinary services ,and agricultural guidance in some villages in districts of Gradan and Rawdha at a total cost of YR 480 million.
Another agreement was signed by the YLNG's General Manager and Head of Yemeni Red Crescent Society in Shabwah Abubakr al-Shaklyah as a representative of the French Red Cross to implement the third phase of the water project, which includes 19 projects of drinking water in 12 villages near the gas pipeline in the districts of Radom, Meiphaah ,Gradan and Rawdha at a cost of YR 320 million .
Assistant Undersecretary of Shabwah province Salim al-Nasi, who attended the signing of the agreements, praised the company's contributions and its support to the local development in the province, confirming the need of these rural areas for such development projects.
