Collaborators with Iran face evidence of proof


SANA'A, Feb.14(Saba)- The Specialized Penal Court in the capital Sana'a, faced on Monday the four defendants, accused of collaborating with Iran, with evidence of proof and seizures in the case.

At the hearings presided over by Judge Ridwan al-Namr, the prosecution presented the seizures in the case including computers, flashes, publications, weapons, pictures and documents of correspondence and funds movement in the banks that were delivered to the accused to carry out the tasks entrusted to them.

The prosecution demanded the court to reserve the case for the final arguments unless the accused have a response to what came in the list of evidence and to confiscate the seizures in the case.

The court decided to enable the accused to obtain copies of the indictment, the list of evidence and investigation records to review them and present their defenses at the next hearings scheduled on February 28.

The court accused the defendants Muammar Mohamed Ahmed al-Abdli, Walid Mohamed Ali Sharaf Eldeen , Abdullah Ali Mutahar al-Dailami and Sadeq Abdulrahman Ahmed al-Sharafi, of collaborating with a foreign country during 1994-2009 .

They also were accused of receiving support and finance to carry out intellectual and political projects serving Iranian interests in Yemen.

The indictment also pointed out that the defendants involved in an armed gang to commit criminal acts and received financial support and weapons from several parties to support outlaws for the insurgency against the State.
