Yemen's foreign currency reserves reach $5.9 billion

SANA'A, Jan. 24 (Saba) - Yemen's foreign currency reserves have declined to $5.99 billion at the end of October 2010 compared with $6.6 billion in September of the same year.

According to a report issued by the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY), the central bank's budget dropped YR 36 billion to YR 1.8 trillion by the end of October 2010.

The external asset net of the banking system also slightly increased to YR 1.7 trillion by October 2010, compared to YR 1.68 in September, the report indicated.
