GAZA, Dec. 21 (Saba) -- An Israeli aircraft attacked a Hamas military training site in southern Gaza Strip Tuesday afternoon, witnesses said, according to Xinhua.

The airstrike, the ninth in less than 24 hours, caused damage to the camp. There have been no casualties as Hamas evacuated all of its security and military personnel since last night.

Security sources said that an unmanned drone carried out the attack with one missile. The site is located in Rafah city, which borders Egypt and run by the armed wing of the Islamic movement.

In the morning, Palestinian militants fired a crude rocket into southern Israel. Three Israelis were lightly wounded, according to Israel Radio.

The radio said that more than 10 mortar shells were fired from Gaza over the past 24 hours.

The Israeli airstrikes are the most intensive attacks since the end of Israel's three-week military operation in Gaza nearly two years ago. More than 1,300 Palestinians were killed in the offensive.
