WASHINGTON, Dec 8 (Saba) -- A 21-year-old U.S. citizen, who is a Muslim convert, was arrested Wednesday morning in Maryland on terrorism related charges, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

According to media reports, the suspect planned to blow up an armed forces recruiting center near Baltimore with a truck bomb.

The reports added that "surveillance of the young man began in October.
The suspect will appear in court later in Baltimore, Maryland.
