Hassan Nasrallah shows video of Israeli involvement in Al-Hariri''s murder
[09/August/2010]
BEIRUT, Aug 9 (Saba) -- Hezbollah secretary general Hassan Nasrallah showed Monday a video of a person confessing that he provided false information to convince people close to slain Prime Minister Rafik Al-Hariri that Hezbollah wanted to kill him, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Nasrallah, at a news conference via a giant screen in southern Beirut, said Hezbollah organized a protest in Beirut in 1993 against the Oslo peace agreement. The protest resulted in clashes with the Lebanese security forces killing and injuring a number of people, said Nasrallah, which harmed relations between Hezbollah and Rafik Al-Hariri.
"The Israelis succeeded to enter through people close to Al-Hariri to convince him that the party (Hezbollah) is preparing for his assassination," he said.
Then Nasrallah showed a video through the giant screen in which a person called Ahmad Nasrallah was testifying that he provided information to people close to Rafik Al-Hariri that Hezbollah wanted to kill him, and that party member Imad Moghniya was keeping a close eye on him.
Ahmad Nasrallah confessed that he fabricated the story. It is not yet clear when, where and to whom Ahmad Nasrallah made that confession.
Then Hassan Nasrallah showed Israeli statements accusing Hezbollah of assassinating Al-Harir in February 14, 2005.
