OMAN, April 30 (Saba)- A Yemeni delegation, headed by Fisheries Minister Mohammed Shamlan, currently visiting Oman, has met Omani Minister of Commerce and Industry Maqbool bin Ali Sultan.

The meeting explored means of enhancing cooperation between Yemen and Oman, particularly in the fisheries field and encouraging research in the same area.

They also discussed the possibility of establishing Omani-Yemeni Fisheries company that concerns with investment in fish farming and processing including prawns and others.

The two sides also reviewed complementary integrating fish processing industries including marketing, establishing cold stores, developing infrastructure to serve the fisheries sector, such as, fishing harbour, training institutes among others.

The meeting also discussed the possibility of implementing decisions approved at the Omani-Yemeni Joint Committee's meetings.
