MUSCAT, April (Saba) - Minister of Fisheries Mohammad Shamlan got on Tuesday acquainted with activities and management of fisheries in Oman.

During his visit to Oman, he also paid a visit to the fishing ground in a number of Omani states as well as was briefed on the Omani experience in grounds' management and the steps taken in fields of management and ports establishment.

The Minister and the Omani Minister of Fisheries Wealth Mohammed Bin Ali Al-Qatabi reviewed mechanism and aspects of cooperation between the two brotherly countries in fields of activating fisheries researches.

Shamlan and Al-Qatabi also discussed coordination in areas of monitoring and information exchange as well as encouraging the steps of intra-trade in fisheries sector.

The two ministers also talked about the possibilities of implementing a joint fisheries company between the Yemeni and Omani businessmen within the framework of the Yemeni and Omani Businessmen Council.
