Yemen in talks with Ethiopia over trade cooperation ties

SANA'A, April 25 (Saba)- Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hasan al-Kabous discussed on Sunday with Commercial Consul of the Ethiopian Embassy in Yemen ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation between both sides, particularly in trade and investment.
During the meeting, al-Kabous affirmed the importance of increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two countries by eliminating the difficulties of customs restrictions and facilitating the procedures of banking, transport, and money transfer as well as promoting the establishment of joint companies for air and sea transport between the private sector of the two countries.
He pointed out to necessities of activating the trade and economic agreements signed between the two countries and the agreements signed within the framework of Sana'a Forum to facilitate and accelerate bilateral trade and provide more conveniences for the establishment of trade fairs in both countries to promote the desired products the two countries.
For his part, the Ethiopian Commercial Consul reviewed the Ethiopian investment opportunities available to the Yemeni private sector in Ethiopia in the fields of agriculture and industry, pointing out to the benefits of investment in soil fertility and water availability to allow for the expansion in agricultural investment.
