DAMASCUS, April 22 (Saba) - Yemen ambassador to Syria Abdul Wahab Tawaf meets here on Thursday with the Director General of the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority Dr. Wafik Hasan.

In the meeting, the two sides discussed areas of the bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries and means of boosting them in the field of civil aviation.

Meanwhile, they dealt with the nomination of Yemen for the membership of the Executive Council and the competent committees in the Arab Civil Aviation Commission (ACAC) during the period from May 2010 to May 2012.

In this regard, the Syrian official affirmed his country's keenness to support Yemen candidate for the position of membership.

The ACAC was established in June 1996 as a regional organization for coordination and cooperation among Arab countries and with other parts of the world in the field of civil aviation.
