SAYON, April 20 (Saba) – Abyan province is to take part in the cultural events of Tarim, the Cultural Islamic Capital for 2010.
 
Speaking to Saba, the executive director of the Tarim activities Moath al-Shihabi said that the activities would be held in Tarim and Sayon cities and include a fair of Arabic calligraphy and the presentation of poems by a number of Abyan's poets.

The cultural activities will also include a symposium untitled "The history of the Artistic and Literary Movement in Abyan".

Al-Shihabi gave more details about the events, saying that they will contain an artistic ceremony for lyric artists from Abyan in addition to tourist tours to the historical city of Shibam.
