Israel tanks penetrate into Al-Qararah town S. Gaza Strip

GAZA, April 8 (Saba) -- Israeli tanks and bulldozers penetrated Thursday into Al-Qararah town southern Gaza Strip, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Local radio stations reported that eight tanks and nine bulldozers suddenly started a 400 meter penetration into Al-Qararah town from the (Kisofum) military base heading towards citizens' lands adjacent to the borderlines eastern Al-Qararah.
The stations added that the Israeli forces opened fire against citizen's houses and farmlands. A number of aircraft flew at low altitudes during the raid and razing of lands. Daily raids are often occurring in the area between Gaza Strip and Israel.
Meanwhile, Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Palestine claimed responsibility of shelling an Israeli machinery with an RPG in Al-Qararah east of Khan Younis south of here.
