KUALA LUMPUR, April 5 (Saba) -- A powerful 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck eastern Indonesia on Monday but there were no reports of casualties, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

The tremor did not cause tsunami though, Indonesian national meteorological agency said.

Indonesia is exposed to earthquakes due to its geographic location.
