SANA'A, Dec. 15(Saba) - Information Minister Hassan al-Lowzi has met with a delegation of Human Rights Watch headed by Joe Stork, Deputy Director of the Middle East and North Africa Division, who currently visiting Yemen.
Al-Lawzi and the HRW delegation discussed a number of issues relating to press freedom and human rights in Yemen.
During the meeting, al-Lowzi listened to the delegation's inquiries and questions relating to journalists rights, the situation of press freedom in the country.
Replying the delegation questions, the minister confirmed that Yemen is a democratic country which supporting press freedom and respecting human rights.
"The ministry didn't close down any newspaper, but it prohibited the circulation of some newspapers according to the law for publishing anti-unite issues", said al-Lawzi.
