SANA'A, Dec. 14 (Saba) - Yemen and Netherlands signed here on Monday a financing agreement of $ 19 million allocating to support water sector in the country.

Under the agreement signed by Deputy Premier for Economic Affaires Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi and the Dutch ambassador to Yemen Alan Rish, Netherlands grants Yemen $ 19 million as contribution in financing program of water project in Yemen on 2010 – 2011.

On the other hand, Yemen, Germany and World Bank (WB) signed here a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for partnership in supporting water sector in Yemen.

The MoU stipulates to mobilize all supports for water projects in Yemen under the framework of implementing the investment program for water sector.

The MoU was signed Deputy Premier for Economic Affaires Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi and the Dutch deputy ambassador to Yemen Alan Van, German GTZ head Thomas Engelhart and the WB Education Sector Officer Aysha Fodah.
