[10/November/2009]

DOHA, Nov. 10 (Saba) - Foreign Ministers of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) accentuated on Tuesday their countries' support to Yemen against any challenges it faces.

The GCC States affirmed support the country's efforts to encounter whatever endangers its security and stability, the GCC Foreign Ministers said in their speeches in the opening session of the second meeting of
Foreign Ministries Council held in the Qatari Capital, Doha.

Oman's Minister in Charge of Foreign Affairs Youssef bin Alawi said "Yemen is most significant neighbouring country".

He emphasized that Yemen's security is the GCC States' security, adding that "GCC States will continue coordinating with Yemen at all levels".

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal said that Yemeni-Saudi relations would remain distinct.

The first, who opposed the sneaking of al-Houthi followers to the Saudi territories, was President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
