Yemen, Kuwait discuss judicial cooperation

SANA'A, Jan. 03 (Saba)- Head of the Supreme Judiciary Council Isam Al-Samawi discussed on Thursday with Kuwaiti Minister of Justice and Social and Labor Affairs Jamal al-Shihab improving cooperation relations in judiciary field and exchanging visits and expertise.
Al-Samawi pointed out to the treaty singed between the two countries in judiciary field, indicating that measures have been taken for enhancing judiciary independence and improving its works.
For his part, the Kuwaiti minister expressed pleasure of improvement Yemen has achieved in judiciary field.
On the other hand, member of the Kuwaiti Supreme Judiciary Council consultant Yousuf Al-Rashid said that Kuwaiti judiciary would make use of Yemen's successful experience in judiciary field, inviting al-Samawi to visit Kuwait for getting acquaintance with development in this field.
Earlier, the Kuwaiti delegation has paid visit to Higher Judiciary Institute and listened from the manager of the institute, member of Supreme Judiciary Council, Yehya al-Jurafi to an explanation of components of the institute and working mechanisms.
