SANA'A, Jan. 02 (Saba)- A member of the Bahraini parliament has said that the accession of Yemen into the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) is necessary certainty.

Jasam al-Saeedi called on the Bahraini government and people to benefit from historical ties between Bahrain and Yemen to server interests of both peoples, pointing to the security matter and economic integration as well as opportunities of joint investments.

In his statement to the state-run 26sep.net, al-Saeedi said that Yemen's accession would add further strength for GCC, especially in economic, political, military and security aspects.

He affirmed that Yemen's location is part of the Arab Peninsula as that is a historical fact.
