Yemen, UAE discuss economic investment ties

SANA'A. Dec. 06 (Saba)- Interior Minister Rashad al-Alimi and Planning and International Cooperation Minister Abdul-Karim al-Arhiab have met with the UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan whom is visiting currently Yemen.
During their meeting, the two Yemeni officials welcomed Sheikh Abdullah, pointing to the good level of the brotherly cooperation ties linking the two peoples and leaderships of the two countries.
Al-Alimi and al-Arhiab praised efforts made by the UAE to support and promote development capacities in Yemen, noting this support reflects the steady evolution of the bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Al-Alimi and al-Arhiab highlighted the outcomes of the recent Doha summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council states' leaders, particularly concerning means of strengthening GCC's cooperation with Yemen.
Al-Arhiab expressed Yemen's satisfaction for the results of the Doha summit and attention shown by the summit to support the rehabilitation of Yemen to join into the GCC member states as well as the summit decision of establishing a Gulf common market.
For his part, Sheikh Abdullah expressed stressing his country's keenness to enhance and strengthen cooperation with Yemen, noting the importance of moving forward in supporting the rehabilitation of Yemen to join into GCC member states for securing stability in the Arab peninsula.
Sheikh Abdullah commended the steps undertaken by Yemen in application of the national reforms agenda and strengthening democratic practices.
The Yemeni and UAE officials discussed ways of developing and expanding bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields, particularly in the economic and investment fields in addition to discussing aspects of strengthening cooperation and partnership between Yemen and the gulf states, in the framework of the rehabilitation of the Yemeni economy for integrating into GCC economies.
