Yemen to participate in 27th round of Arab Social Affairs ministers

SANA'A, Dec. 04 (Saba) - Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Amat al-Razaq Humad headed on Tuesday for Cairo, Egypt, to take part in meetings of the 27th round of the Arab Social Affairs Ministers Council to be kicked off on Wednesday.
Humad told Saba that the round would discuss several issues concerning combating unemployment, poverty, family violence and the means of tackling them in addition to setting up programs for encountering social consequences of the global warming.
She said that the round would deal with the Arab stance on the agreement of disabled people's rights, pointing out that Arab ministers would consider dedicating an Arab day for disabled people.
The minister noted that the round would approve forming a technical committee to be in charge of studying a paper pertaining to developing the Arab social development policies, adding that the paper would be presented in the upcoming Arab summit.
Moreover, the round would also approve establishing an Arab children parliament and the second part of the integrated Arab guideline dictionary for the deaf and dumb.
On the sidelines of the round, social affairs ministers of Gulf Cooperation Council's states and Yemen would hold a coordinating meeting to study steps and initiatives aiming at enhancing coordination about issues included in the agenda of the round of the Arab social affairs ministers council, Humad said.
