Yemen represents strategic depth for GCC, says al-Ateya

DOHA, Dec, 03 (Saba)- Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul Rahman al-Ateya has said that Yemen represents a strategic depth for GCC, noting that the council states seek to develop relations with Yemen in different fields.
The state-run 26sep.net quoted al-Ateya as saying that the 28th summit of GCC would discuss a number of issues related to activating GCC and promoting the Gulf integration.
Al-Ateya noted that the summit would also discuss the current developments in Iraq, the crisis of the Iranian nuclear file and the developments in Palestine, Lebanon, Sudan and Somalia.
"The joint gulf market will be on the top of the summit's agenda", said al-Ateya.
