Yemen, Oman to sign soon academic cooperation agreement

SANA'A, Dec. 02 (Saba)- Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Mohammed Mutahar held a meeting with the Omani ambassador to Yemen Abdullah al-Badi over the academic cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, they reviewed a draft agreement that will be signed between the two countries soon.
The agreement will enhance the academic cooperation between universities in both counties and organize joint events as well as scholarships.
They discussed possibilities of organizing a scientific conference to discus the Yemeni-Omani historical relations and future horizons and conditions of the Omani students who are studying in Yemeni universities to overcome all obstacles facing them.
Mutahar said that Yemen had achieved various steps to fit the Yemeni laws of educational system with similar laws in the Gulf states.
The Omani diplomat said that the academic ties is a key door for enhancing deep routed relations between the two countries, wishing the coming period would witness further progress in the field of the academic cooperation between Yemen and Oman.
