SANA'A, Dec. 02(Saba)- Governor of Taiz Sadiq Ameen Abu Ras denied the killing of a citizen in clashes with security while participating in an event organized by the opposition parties in Taiz on the 40th anniversary of Independence Day.

The governor stated that the security bodies prevented people carrying weapons from entering the city to participate in the festival, pointing that a citizen was injured by an aimless shot when the security was seizing guns of people who come to the event.

He denied that authorities created checkpoints to avert people from taking part in the event, confirming the government leadership's cooperation with the parties in organizing the event.
