Yemen receives 50 antique pieces after 3 years absence in Paris

PARIS, Nov. 23 (Saba)- The General Authority for Antiquities and Museums received on Friday 50 antique pieces after an absence of 3 years in the Arab World Institute in Paris.
Coordinator of exhibitions in the authority Muhanad al-Saiyaghi told Saba, upon departure in Paris Airport, that a Yemeni technical team carried out tests on safety of the antique pieces before receiving them and they will be exhibited in the Yemeni museums soon.
For his part, Minister of Culture Mohammed al-Maflahi had already discussed with director of Arab World Institute in Paris Mukhtar Bin Diah difficulties of bringing these antique pieces back to Yemen since 2004 and the reasons of not exhibiting them in the institute.
