MARIB,  (Saba)- Deputy of Marib governor Ali al-Fatimy briefed on Sunday a delegation of the American Foundation for the Study of Man (AFSM), headed by the foundation chairwoman Marlin Phillips, on results of the foundation's excavations in the last period in Awaam temple which resulted in more than 85 archaeological inscriptions, some of them refer to the seventh century.

The foundation chairwoman acquainted deputy governor with the foundation program for 2008 of restoring the Awaan temple to be started in November.

Al-Fatimy affirmed readiness of province leadership to provide all support to facilitate the work of the mission in Marib so as to accomplish its tasks in the field of archeological studies and excavations.

The AFSM delegation appreciated efforts of the political leadership to maintain the monuments and the history of ancient Yemen and for facilitating work of archaeological experts to discover the components of human civilizations in Yemen.
