Yemen, WB discuss financial reform system

HODEIDAH, (Saba)- Governor of Hodeidah province Mohammed Shamlan discussed on Tuesday with a World Bank financial expert, who visiting Yemen currently, implementation process of financial reforms program.
During the meeting, the governor expressed his happiness for selecting Hodeidah province to know what has been achieved in financial system, pointing out to the importance of developing financial system through training, qualification and providing various observations.
For his part, the WB expert reviewed aims of visit to evaluate the financial system and how to implement and control the budget.He pointed out that the evaluation aims to introduce a uniform way to assess projects funded by the donor countries.
He praised effort of Yemeni government in the reform of public finance, affirming that Yemen is the first country in the Middle East and North Africa that adopted this system which shows defects and eradicate them.
