SANA'A, July 29 (Saba)- British International Development Minister
Douglas Alexander is to begin on Monday an official visit to Yemen
to sign an agreement on the British development aid which would be
granted to Yemen during the coming ten years, well-informed sources
told saba on Sunday.
During the visit, the British minister would hold talks with Yemeni
senior officials topped by minister of planning and international
cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi over bilateral relations and joint
cooperation between the two countries, the sources said.
The British government rose at the end of 2006 the financial support
offered to Yemen to $ 230 million.
Worth mentioning, this visit would be the first one by a British
minister to Yemen and the region following the last government
reshuffling in Britain.
