SAADA, July 26(Saba)- Saada governor Mutahar al-Masri held talks on
Thursday with direcror of the mission of the International Committee
of Red Cross (ICRC) Samuel Gordon in Yemen on issues of humanitarian
aids to displaced families escaped the lastest clashes between
the government forces and al-Houthi followers.
They reviewed humanitarian medical and food aids presented by ICRC
to the displaced from some areas of Saada that were battlefields
between the army force and the al-Houthis.
The lack of water and projects of building water tanks and fixing
pumps that can be financed by ICRC have been discussed in the
meeting.
Al-Masri praised the humanitarian role the ICRC plays in Saada,
affirming the province leadership's keenness to present more
facilities to make the ICRC's mission a success.
Gordon confirmed the importance of cooperation and coordination
between the concerned bodies and ICRC to offer aids and reduce the
emigrants suffering, noting that ICRC would try to resolve
the problem of water shortage in the damaged areas of Saada.
He said that ICRC would also offer medical aids to emigrants i' n
their camps.
