SANA'A, July 26 (Saba)- Ministry of Tourism announced on Wednesday
that Socotra island was registered in the list of world seven
natural wonders adopted by the Swiss foundation "New7wonders".

Minister of Tourism Nabil al-Faqih made it clear in a statement to
Saba that the ministry had finished procedures to include Socotra
island among the world new seven wonders of nature. He said that the
vote will be through internet.

He said that Eng. Shehab al-Faqih was authorized to follow up the
nomination process with the Swiss foundation.

Shihab al-Faqih said that the nomination would be on the website
www.new7wonders.com. He said the results would be announced on
August 2008.
