SANA'A, July 18 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on
Wednesday a US military delegation headed by Admiral William J.
Fallon commander of the U.S.Central Command and discussed with him
military cooperation between Yemen and United States, particularly
fighting terrorism and improving Coastguard, in addition to the
latest developments in Iraq,Afghanistan, Somalia and the African
Horn.

The US commander highlighted level of the cooperation and efforts of
Yemen in fighting terror in the region and realizing stability in
Somalia. He affirmed concern of the USA to develop its ties with
Yemen in military fields and support efforts of fighting terror.

For his part, President Saleh expressed satisfaction with the good
level of partnership between Yemen and the United States, affirming
the importance of enhancing ties to serve common interests of both
peoples. 

The delegation left Sana'a Wednesday afternoon after meeting top
military officials in Yemen over military cooperation between the
two countries.
