Yemeni Airways to order up to 10 A350 airplanes

SANA'A, July 18 (Saba)- Informed sources said that Yemen Airways,
known as "Yemenia", would sign deals with the European Airbus
company to purchase ten Airbus A350 airplanes amounting to more than
$ one billion.

The sources said to al-Syasiah daily, published by Saba, on
Wednesday that delivery of the A350 airplanes for Yemenia would
start in 2012, and the aircrafts will be configured in a comfortable
two-class configuration with seating for 18 passengers in First
Class and 265 in Economy.

The sources said that a delegation from Airbus company is visiting
Yemen currently to complete negotiations with Yemenia on the ten
aircrafts.

Yemenia currently has three B737-800, four A310s and two A330-200s
in its long haul fleet, operating from its base in Sana'a and Aden
to destinations in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, as well as
possible further expansions of the network in Africa in the future.
