SANAA, April 20 (Saba) – Speaker of the Parliament Yahya Ali al-Ra'i on Saturday met with Executive Director of the Disabled Care and Rehabilitation Fund, Head of the National Union of Disabled Associations and a number of directors of the disabled associations and centers.
In the meeting, al-Ra'i affirmed that the parliament welcomes all groups of society, especially those with special needs, and pays great attention to them, indicating that the parliament had enacted legislation for people with special needs.
"The State with all its components gives this group special attention and care and works to solve their problems at once," he said.
Al-Ra'i appreciated the position of the disabled against the aggression and siege imposed by Saudi-led aggression coalition countries on the Yemeni people.
Representatives of the people with special needs demanded that the parliament should pay more attention to them and enact laws that contribute to alleviating their suffering.
They emphasized the importance of increasing attention to the Disabled Care and Rehabilitation Fund and providing it with the necessary requirements.
