ROVINCES, March 21 (Saba) - The army, supported by popular forces, overt the last 24 hours inflicted on the troops of US-backed saudi-led aggression coalition heavy losses during several qualitative attacks launched in various fronts, a military official told on Thursday Saba.
According to the official, the army killed and injured more than 70 mercenaries, including three officers and commanders in the so-called fifth Brigade belonging to them when the army fired against them a Badr P-1 ballistic missile on their gatherings off Khouba, Jizan.
A military engineering team belonging to the mercenaries were killed when the army ambushed them east of Khouba, he added.
A barrage of Katyusha rockets were fired on the mercenaries' gatherings in Madrasa village, he added.
The army attacked sites of mercenaries in talaa, Najran, which resulted in imposing full control on several sites belonging to to the mercenaries there, and left huge losses in their troops, he affirmed.
The artillery force bombarded mercenaries' gathering in Ajasher desert, while a Katyusha rocket was fired at the mercenaries gatherings in Taibat Ism area killing and injuring tens.
Another Katyusha rocket and shells were fired at mercenaries' gatherings in Bokaa desert while four mercenaries' commanders were killed when the army fired another Katyusha rocket in Ajasher, he said.
The engineering units ambushed a saudi-led military vehicle loaded with mercenaries in Bokaa desert killing its crew's members while another military vehicle was destroyed in the same area which resulted in killing its crew's members, he added.
The artillery force shelled gatherings and fortifications for mercenaries in Sawh, off Najran, killing and injuring scores, he added.
In Asir, the artillery force shelled other groups for mercenaries in Rabouaa, Majaza, and off Aleeb crossing causing huge casualties in their ranks, he affirmed.
The artillery shelling on mercenaries in Majza Gharbia led to destroying an enemy military vehicle.
In Raboua the army foiled an infiltration of mercenaries in Rabouaa from three tracks which left dozens of dead and wounded in their ranks, he said.
In Jawf, the army killed huge numbers of mercenaries when they ambushed them in Moton district, he said.
The so-called colonel Saeed Bin Saleh al-Akraa was killed when the army targeted him in Makhdara front, Serwah district, Jawf province, he affirmed.
In Bayda, the army destroyed two military vehicle of mercenaries and killed four mercenaries injuring three others.
In Hajjah, the artillery force bombarded the mercenaries' gatherings east of Nar mount which caused huge losses in their ranks, he added.
