SANAA, Feb. 23 (Saba) - The trade negotiations between China and the United States were extended in Washington to Sunday, according to Treasury Secretary Stephen Manuchen, while US President Donald Trump said the chances of a trade deal were "very good".

Trump expected a "close encounter" with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping to negotiate the most sensitive points in the trade dispute between the two countries, adding that the meeting could take place "in March in Maralago, Florida.

Trump described the talks with China as "very good".

Trump also admitted that he was considering extending the March 1 deadline, which then threatens the United States to impose a 25 percent tariff on Chinese goods worth $ 200 billion, currently 10 percent.

The Americans are demanding a reduction in the trade deficit with China, "structural" changes such as stopping technology exchanges, respecting intellectual property rights, halting piracy and lifting non-tariff barriers.
