Ahly team in Sanaa honors  female popular artist Taqiya Taweelah

SANAA, Feb.14 (Saba) - Al-Ahly club in Sanaa on Tuesday honored on Monday evening the Yemeni female artist Taqiya Taweelah.

during this event of honor, the Minister of Culture's Advisor Ali Kawkabani praised this initiative to honor this artist, who played a prominent role in reviving and enriching the heritage song and performing many creative works that influenced the artistic scene.

He noted the great efforts made by the artist and her artistic and cultural contributions through her outstanding artistic works in general, pointing out the importance of working on documenting Yemeni artistic heritage rich in diversity and richness.

Secretary General of the Al-Ahli Club in Sanaa, Abdullah Jaber, and the Chairman of the Cultural Committee of the Club Yahya Al-Shahari pointed out that the honoring of this female popular artist comes to appreciate this prominent Yemeni voice that influenced the library of art and contributed to the revival of folklore heritage and its preservation through her performance and distinguished presence on various occasions.

And stressed that this honor comes within the framework of the programs and activities of the cultural club aimed at highlighting the creative Yemeni artists and poets who served the nation with their various creations representing wonderful models of beauty transmitted to the future generation with all pride and admiration.

In addition, Ahmad al-Zahbani, Dr. Khaled Omar and member of the cultural committee of the club Gamal al-Hadrami and Tawfiq al-Zubairi presented readings to the artist Taqiya and positions that characterized it.

They touched upon different aspects of her artistic career and her brilliant creations as the voice of a leading folk artist in Yemeni folk singing.

While the popular artist Taqiya expressed her happiness for this honor.

The participant to the ceremony heard a collection of the songs of the popular artist Taqiya, which won the admiration of the audience who stressed the need to work on documenting the artist's heritage in particular, as well as documenting the Yemeni artistic heritage in general.
