SANAA, Feb 14 (Saba) - Azal team defeated Al-Arabouba 1-0 in the opening match of the fifth round of the Second Winter Football Tournament of Wahda, on the martyr ex-president al-Sammad's Cup.
Talal Al-Khamisi, Azal player, scored a goal in the 20th minute, before Al-Orouba lost a penalty by Alaa Al-Sahbani, ending the first half with the result.
In the second half, Al-Oroba, led by Shafiq Salam, tried to correct the situation, but the goalkeeper and defenders of Azal foiled all the attacks.
With this win, Azal team led by coach Mohammed Hajira was third with seven points and Al-Arouba remained fourth with four points.
Azal Talal Al Khimaisi, Azal attacker along with his teammate goalkeeper Al-Jaradi won the title of best players in the match for their efforts on the pitch.
The fifth round matches continue with a match between the Wahda team and his counterpart Yarmouk, while Ahli will play with the Shaab on Friday.
The same round will be concluded on Saturday with a match between May 22 and Shurta teams.
