SANAA, Jan. 20 (Saba) - Wahda team started on Saturday its second winter tournament with a 3-0 victory at home to Azal in their first round match.
Former Ahly and Wahda player Saeed Al-Mansoub put his team in the lead by scoring the first goal in the fourth minute, ending the first half of this goal.
At the start of the second half, Al Wahda added their second goal with a penalty kick by Bashir Al-Munifi, before his teammate Abdullah Anqad boosted the score by scoring a third goal after a scissor strike that shook the net of goalkeeper Azal Abdullah Al Jaradi in the 75th minute.
The Technical Committee chose Wahda's striker Said Al-Mansoub as the best player in the game.
With this win, the Wahda team put the first three points in third place, lagging behind the goals of Shaab team and Ahly teams, while Azal team came in fifth place without points.
The first round was launched on Wednesday and witnessed the victory of Shaab team on Shourta team 5-1, and beat Ahli yesterday on Yarmouk 4-1.
The first round will end on Saturday with a match organized between May 22 and Arouba teams.
