SANAA, Jan. 15 (Saba) - Snow storms have hit 14 provinces in Iran in the past 48 hours, the head of Iran's relief and rescue organization said.
"More than 1,800 people have been rescued in the mountainous and snow-capped areas and a large number of people have been stranded on an emergency basis," Murtaza Selimi, head of the organization, was quoted as saying by the Fars News Agency on Tuesday.
He added that three people were injured and were taken to hospital for treatment and 275 cars were stuck in the snow.
