Amran, Jan. 15 (Saba) - A meeting held Tuesday in Amran province, headed by Governor Dr. Faisal Ja'man, discussed the level of utilization of UNICEF health and medical assistance at the province level.
The meeting, which included UNICEF's Community Care Officer Dr. Rashad Al-Shaikh and Director of the Health Office in the province Dr. Mohammed Al-Houthi, discussed the future plan of the Organization, including the possibility of providing the necessary needs of the maternity and childhood hospital in the city of Amran.
The meeting also discussed the possibility of the organization's contribution to finding special support for motherhood and childhood in various basic aspects including equipment, medical supplies, immunity and integrated care.
The Governor praised the role of UNICEF in supporting various areas, especially childhood and upbringing, pointing out the need to provide the basics for children, especially the fight against malnutrition.
He stressed the importance of coordination with the concerned authorities in the local authority, health and planning offices and related authorities.
The governor of Amran and UNICEF official visited the maternity and childhood hospital in Amran city, and looked at the difficulties facing them and the ways to deal with them.
The official stressed the organization's readiness to conduct an integrated study on the development of the hospital needs plan and how to provide them as necessary.
