SANAA, Dec. 13 (Saba) - The Russian Defense Ministry announced Wednesday that the United States occupied part of the Syrian territory in the vicinity of Al-Tanf and protect thousands of terrorists in it.
"The United States continues with an unintelligible stubbornness in taking control of part of the Syrian territory around the Tanf area," the head of the National Defense Control Center (NDCC) of Russia, Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, was quoted as saying by Russia Today.
"There are six thousand terrorists in the area who are obstructing the dismantling of al-Rukban camp, with the protection of US forces illegally present in the territory of an independent state," he said.
Mizintsev charged Washington with full responsibility for the lives of the Syrians in Al-Rukban camp, especially with serious humanitarian problems, stressing the importance of delivering aid to the camp.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly stressed that the presence of US forces and any foreign military presence in Syria without the consent of the Syrian government is an aggression against Syrian sovereignty and a flagrant violation of the Charter and principles of the United Nations.
