SANAA, Dec. 12 (Saba) - Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar said Tuesday that Britain could withdraw or extend the deadline for formal notification of exit from the European Union to avoid a possible exit without an agreement.
"Everybody wants to avoid the exit scenario without an agreement and the UK has the authority from us, its people and the EU to end the risk of going out without an agreement," Vardkar told the Irish parliament.
"They can do so by withdrawing (the official notice of activation) of Article 50 or, if that step is too far away, they can seek to extend the (notice of activation) of Article 50. So the UK has the authority to end the risk of going out without agreement."
