Protests'  Death toll  in France on rise in fuel prices reaches to more than 400 injured

SANAA, Nov. 15 (Saba) - French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said more than 400 people had been injured in protests over fuel price hike in France on Saturday.

"During the protest demonstrations, 409 people were injured and 14 others were seriously wounded," RTL quoted Minister Castaner as saying.

The minister pointed out that the protests' wave witnessed the injury of 28 police and fire brigades.

He added that demonstrations took place in more than 2000 cities and villages across France, involving more than 287,000 people adding that during these protests, 282 demonstrators were detained.

France on Saturday witnessed a mass demonstrations against rising fuel prices.

One demonstrator was killed during the protests after being hit by a mistaken driver.

Fuel prices are expected to rise in France from January 1 by 2.9 cents per liter of gasoline and 6.5 cents for diesel.

Europe 1 reported that the price of a liter of diesel rose 23% this year, while the price of a liter of gasoline rose by 15%.
