SANAA, Nov. 16 (Saba) - North Korea announced on Friday that it had successfully tested a new high-tech weapon with tactical uses.
North Korea's official news agency reported that Kim Jong-un had visited a "tactical weapon test" site, the first such field visit since last year.
"This result is achieved due to the Party's policy of focusing on defense science and technology and another review of our rapidly developing defense capabilities in the level of the entire region and strengthening the capabilities of our combat army," Kim Jong was quoted as saying.
The agency did not disclose the nature of the new weapon or how it was carried out, but said it had been developed by military experts for a long time.
