MOSCOW May 05. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian Interior Ministry has listed Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and former President Petro Poroshenko on its wanted list in its database, Sputnik reported.

Sputnik reported that the ministry's database indicates that Vladimir Zelensky is wanted under an article of the Russian Criminal Code, and former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko was also included on Russia's most wanted list.

Zelenskiy's powers as president granted to him under the constitution expire on the night of May 21, after which he will become a president without legitimacy, and there is no legitimate way to extend his term.

In May, the Ministry of Internal Affairs placed several Ukrainian political figures on the wanted list: Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Alexander Litvinenko, former Minister of Justice of Ukraine Pavel Petrenko, former head of the Security Service of Ukraine Valentin Nalyvachenko, former Minister of Finance of Ukraine Alexander Shlabak, and former head of the National Bank of Ukraine Stepan Kubev.

In addition, at the end of April, the Ministry of Internal Affairs again put deputies of the Verkhovna Verkhovna Alexei Goncharenko and Vladimir Parasiuk on the wanted list, as well as former First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Vitaly Yarema.
