DHALE' April 20. 2024 (Saba) - The Agricultural Committee in Al Dhale' province discussed today,Saturday, procedures for benefiting from rainwater for the current agricultural season.
The meeting, which included the governor’s undersecretaries, Sadiq Al-Idrisi , Aziz Al-Haidari, and the directors of the directorates of Damt Sultan Fadel, Qa’taba Daoud Al-Nahham, and Al-Hasha Ahmed Sufyan, touched on aspects related to educating farmers about the stages that fruits and crops go through, “cultivation, production, marketing,” modern methods of planning, evaluation, implementation of extension programs and unifying agricultural extension sources.
At the meeting, Idrisi agent stressed the importance of activating agricultural education and extension programs within the framework of current trends to achieve agricultural development, the technical and practical knowledge in integrating agricultural extension programs into the field school curriculum.
Al-Idrisi pointed out that community committees will be formed to go to the field in coordination with Knights of Development to implement field surveys, awareness and agricultural extension.
For his part, Governor Al-Haidari pointed out the need to raise awareness and educate about the importance of expanding agricultural production of various grain and fruit crops to achieve food security and self-sufficiency.
He pointed out the importance of making efforts to cultivate and reclaim hard lands and create an agricultural renaissance in accordance with the directives of the revolution leader.
