BRUSSELS April 19, 2024 (Saba) -The European Union imposed restrictions on six defendants, from flocks of Zionist settlers and settlement organizations, on charges of violating the rights of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
The Council of the European Union said in a publication in the Official Journal of the European Union today: “Settler violence increased significantly after the October 7 attacks (against the Palestinian population). In this context, the European Union decided to impose restrictions on six people involved, four settlers and two organizations.”
Sanctions were imposed in particular on the "Hill Youth" organization, which is known for its attacks on the Palestinian population in the occupied territories. The sanctions were imposed as part of the European Union's sanctions mechanism for human rights violations
