GAZA April 18. 2024 (Saba) -At request from Jordan and Algeria, the UN Security Council held a session on Mideast, that included discussions on challenges faced by UNRWA amid the Zionist aggression on Gaza.
At the session, Algeria declared an exceptional contribution of US$ 15 million in assistance to the UN Relief and Work Agency UNRWA.
This UN agency is now under Israeli attack, the Algerian foreign minister said, as the Zionist army "attacked over 160 UNRWA centers, shedding the blood of its workers and linked people, and fabricating and promoting pretexts to dry its funding resources."
The Israeli targeting of UNRWA comes as integral part of the Zionist plot to liquidate the Palestinian Cause, FM Ahmed Attaf added.
